Rare, tropical, and full of movement — Scindapsus Macan is prized for its elongated foliage layered with unpredictable aurea mottling and constellation-style patterning. The leaves develop with splashes, speckling, and marbled tones of lime, yellow, and chartreuse scattered across a rich green satin surface, giving the plant a wild jungle aesthetic.
Its narrower leaf shape and flowing growth habit create a more untamed appearance compared to rounder Scindapsus forms, while the softly reflective texture adds depth and richness without overpowering the variegation.
As the plant matures and climbs, the foliage becomes larger and more dramatic, with increasingly complex patterning and stronger colour expression developing over time.
✨ Quick Care Tips:
💧 Water: Allow the top layer of soil to dry slightly between waterings. Keep evenly moist but avoid prolonged saturation.
☀️ Light: Bright, indirect light helps maintain vibrant aurea variegation and healthy compact growth. Avoid harsh direct sun.
🌫 Humidity: Prefers moderate to high humidity for optimal foliage quality and healthy expansion.
🌡 Temps: Thrives between 18–28 °C. Protect from cold drafts and sudden temperature changes.
🪴 Soil: Performs exceptionally well in our NPG Aroid Formula, providing the ideal balance of airflow, moisture retention, and structure to support strong root development and healthy growth. Alternatively, use a chunky, free-draining aroid mix with bark, perlite, and coco.
🌱 NPG Tip:
Give Macan something to climb early — mature climbing growth produces larger foliage and more dramatic aurea patterning. Stable warmth, humidity, and consistent lighting will keep colours vibrant and growth lush over time.
