Shipping policy

🌿 STANDARD TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR POSTING PLANTS
(a.k.a. the fine-ish print that keeps your plants safe and everyone smiling)


1. Shipping & Handling

We post your leafy legends on Mondays and Tuesdays only — it helps avoid weekend courier delays and keeps plants moving quickly.

We use NZ Post Courier (formerly Overnight) so your plants spend as little time in transit as possible.

If there’s bad weather, courier delays, NZ Post backlogs, or any other unexpected issues, we may hold your order to ensure your plant travels safely.


2. Live Plant Disclaimer

Plants are living things, and sometimes they may look a little tired on arrival. A bent leaf, a bit of soil out of place, or minor cosmetic imperfections are normal and part of the travel experience. A little care and good conditions will usually have them perking up quickly.


3. Weather Risks & Packaging Care

Plants don’t enjoy extreme heat or cold, and neither do we — so if the weather isn’t ideal, we may delay shipping until conditions improve.

All plants are packed with care in appropriately sized boxes, with insulation added for more sensitive varieties to keep them comfortable throughout the journey.


4. Returns & Refunds

We do not accept returns on live plants.

If your plant arrives in poor condition, send us photos and your order number within 48 hours. We’ll assess the situation and may offer a refund, replacement, or store credit depending on the circumstances.


5. Wrong or Damaged Orders

If you receive the wrong plant or your order arrived damaged, contact us as soon as possible with photos. We’ll make it right promptly and without fuss.


6. Variegation & Appearance

Every plant is unique. Variations in size, colour, shape, and variegation are completely natural. Photos serve as a guide only and may not represent the exact plant you receive — that’s the beauty of nature.


7. Delivery Delays

Once your order is handed to NZ Post, its journey is outside our control. Delays may occur due to weather, courier backlogs, or other unexpected factors. Tracking will be provided, and we’ll assist where possible, but we can’t guarantee courier timeframes.


8. Address Accuracy

Please ensure your delivery address is correct when placing your order. If an incorrect address results in a misdelivery, we are unable to replace or refund the order. Double-checking avoids heartbreak and keeps your new plant friend heading to the right home.
