🌿 NELSON PLANT GUY — TERMS & CONDITIONS

Welcome to Nelson Plant Guy. We value transparency, good communication, and healthy plants.
These terms outline how orders, shipping, returns, guarantees, rewards, referrals, and payments work so you can shop confidently and stress-free.

1. Plant Descriptions & Photos

We do our best to provide accurate descriptions and high-quality photos.
Because every plant is naturally unique, variations in size, colour, shape, and variegation may occur.

2. Pricing, Payment & Order Timeframes

Pricing
All prices are in NZD.
Payment must be made in full before your order is processed.

Payment Timeframes
Orders must be paid within 48 hours unless extended by written approval.
Unpaid orders may be cancelled and returned to stock.

3. Order Acceptance & Availability

Placing an order is an offer to purchase.
We confirm orders once stock is verified.
If an item becomes unavailable, we will notify you and provide options.

4. Shipping & Delivery

Dispatch Schedule
Shipping on Mondays and Tuesdays only.

Couriers
NZ Post Courier and trusted carriers.
Tracking provided.

Weather Holds
Orders may be held if weather or courier delays risk plant health.

Responsibility After Dispatch
Once shipped, plants are in the care of the courier.

5. Weekly Shipping Structure & Eligibility

  • The first order of the week must include paid standard shipping
  • If combined orders reach the free-shipping threshold, the initial fee is refunded
  • Weekly reset: Sunday, 7pm
  • Later orders in the week may select “local pickup”

6. Packaging Standards

Plants are packaged securely with protective materials.
Minor cosmetic impacts from transit may occur.

7. Live Plant Disclaimer

Plants may experience temporary stress such as drooping or minor blemishes during transit.
These do not qualify as damage.

8. Returns, Refunds & Replacements

We do not accept change-of-mind returns.

For DOA or serious damage:

  • Contact us within 48 hours
  • Provide clear photos of plant, packaging, and label
  • We may offer a replacement, refund, or store credit

After 48 hours, plant care becomes the customer’s responsibility.

9. Customer Responsibilities

Customers must:

  • Provide an accurate delivery address
  • Retrieve parcels promptly
  • Provide appropriate care on arrival

Incorrect addresses or neglected parcels may void guarantees.

10. 60-Day Price Guarantee

At Nelson Plant Guy, we stand behind our pricing and aim to offer fair, consistent value to our community.

If an item purchased through our website is reduced in price within 60 days of your purchase date, you may be eligible for a store credit for the difference.

This guarantee applies to both standard listings and new releases unless otherwise stated.

What’s Covered

  • Applies to online purchases only made via our website
  • Covers price reductions on the same product listing, including matching size and grade where applicable
  • Valid for 60 days from the original purchase date

Market Specials & Promotional Pricing

From time to time, we may run market specials, event-based promotions, or limited-time offers both in person and online.

  • These promotional prices are excluded from the 60-day price guarantee
  • This includes Botanica Market specials, after-market restock promotions, flash sales or limited-time drops, and bundle deals or promotional giveaways

These offers are event-driven and not considered standard retail pricing, and therefore are not eligible for price adjustments.

  • The 60-day price guarantee applies only to standard online pricing changes
  • It does not apply to in-person market pricing or event-specific promotions
  • Claims must be made within a reasonable timeframe and may require proof of purchase
  • Store credit will be issued at our discretion once eligibility is confirmed
  • Credit is non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash
  • Nelson Plant Guy reserves the right to amend or withdraw this guarantee at any time

13. Redeeming Points

  • 250 pts = $5 off

14. Referral Program

  • You receive 10% off when your referral spends $100+
  • They receive 25 bonus points
  • Limit: 10 referrals per week

15. Rewards, Vouchers & Fair Use

To keep the rewards system fair:

  • Points and vouchers are for genuine customer purchases
  • One voucher/discount per order
  • We may merge, adjust, or decline multiple small orders placed only to redeem multiple vouchers
  • Misuse may result in order cancellation or point removal
  • Points expire after 12 months
  • Rewards are not transferable or exchangeable for cash
  • Refunds return only the amount paid (not points used)

18. Limitation of Liability

Liability is limited to the value of your purchase.
We are not responsible for indirect losses or courier delays.

All images, content, and branding are owned by Nelson Plant Guy.
Please do not use without permission.

All promotions are subject to availability and may include additional terms.

21. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events outside our control, including:

  • severe weather
  • courier disruptions
  • pandemics
  • government restrictions

22. Governing Law & Disputes

These terms are governed by New Zealand law.
Disputes will be handled through the New Zealand legal system.
