🌿 Philodendron Melanochrysum Pink Variegated – Velvet Depth with Blush Contrast

Dark, luxurious and exceptionally collectible, Philodendron Melanochrysum Pink Variegated combines the signature velvet foliage of Melanochrysum with unpredictable flashes of blush pink, cream, mint and pale green.

Its elongated, heart-shaped leaves develop a deep green to near-black appearance, highlighted by fine golden veining and a soft velvety finish. Against this dark background, the lighter variegation creates dramatic contrast through marbling, mottling, splashes and larger sections.

As the plant climbs and matures, its leaves become increasingly long and impressive, giving the pink variegation, golden veining and velvet texture even greater visual impact.

✨ Tissue Culture Information

This plant is supplied as a young tissue-culture plantlet and must be carefully acclimatised after removal from its sealed growing environment.

Every order includes an NPG Tissue Culture Acclimation Pack. Please read both guides before purchasing or deflasking your plantlet:

• NPG Tissue Culture Acclimatisation Protocol
• NPG Tissue Culture Acclimation & Aftercare Guide

Tissue-culture plantlets are young, living plants, and some loss is always possible during acclimation. Please ensure you have an appropriate growing environment and are comfortable with the process before purchasing.

✨ Care Once Acclimatised

Provide bright, indirect light, moderate to high humidity and warm, stable temperatures of approximately 18–28°C. Keep the substrate lightly and evenly moist without allowing it to remain saturated.

Once fully acclimatised, plant into our NPG Aroid Formula or another chunky, free-draining aroid mix. Provide a moss pole or another suitable vertical support to encourage larger, more mature foliage.

🌱 NPG Tip

New Melanochrysum leaves emerge soft and delicate, so avoid touching or repositioning them until they have fully hardened.

Stable warmth, consistent humidity, bright indirect light and vertical support will encourage strong growth while helping the plant develop its characteristic elongated velvet foliage.
