🌿 Philodendron Mamei Variegated – Silver-Patterned Foliage with Layered Variegation
Lush, textured and highly collectible, Philodendron Mamei Variegated combines the naturally silver-marked foliage of Mamei with additional shades of cream, mint, pale green and yellow-green.
Its broad, heart-shaped leaves feature deep veining and silvery cloud-like markings, creating a dramatic base for the developing variegation. Colour can appear through marbling, mottling, splashes and larger contrasting sections, giving every leaf its own layered appearance.
Unlike many climbing Philodendrons, Mamei naturally develops a crawling growth habit. As it establishes, its stems travel horizontally while producing increasingly large and impressive foliage.
✨ Tissue Culture Information
This plant is supplied as a young tissue-culture plantlet and must be carefully acclimatised after removal from its sealed growing environment.
Every order includes an NPG Tissue Culture Acclimation Pack. Please read both guides before purchasing or deflasking your plantlet:
• NPG Tissue Culture Acclimatisation Protocol
• NPG Tissue Culture Acclimation & Aftercare Guide
Tissue-culture plantlets are young, living plants, and some loss is always possible during acclimation. Please ensure you have an appropriate growing environment and are comfortable with the process before purchasing.
✨ Care Once Acclimatised
Provide bright, indirect light, moderate to high humidity and warm, stable temperatures of approximately 18–28°C. Keep the substrate lightly and evenly moist without allowing it to remain saturated.
Once fully acclimatised, we recommend growing your Philodendron in our NPG Aroid Formula. As the plant develops, use a wider planter that provides room for its crawling stem to travel across the surface.
🌱 NPG Tip
Keep the growing stem positioned on top of the substrate rather than burying it deeply. This allows the plant to root naturally from each node as it crawls or climbs
Give each new leaf time to emerge and harden fully before judging its final colour. Stable warmth, bright indirect light and consistent care will support larger foliage and strong variegation.
