🌿 Monstera Deliciosa ‘Casper’ – Ghostly White Variegation with Dramatic Contrast
Rare, striking and instantly recognisable, Monstera Deliciosa ‘Casper’ is prized for its pale, ghost-like variegation against deep-green foliage.
Its colour develops through shades of creamy white, ivory, pale green and mint, appearing as marbling, mottling, splashes and larger contrasting sections. The softer transitions between green and white create the washed, layered appearance behind the Casper name.
As the plant establishes and begins climbing, its foliage becomes larger and increasingly fenestrated, giving the pale variegation and contrasting green sections even greater visual impact.
✨ Correct Trade Name
This cultivar is supplied and traded as Monstera ‘Casper’. It is also known as Monstera ‘White Lava Ghost’, and may be advertised under either recognised trade name.
✨ Tissue Culture Information
This plant is supplied as a young tissue-culture plantlet and must be carefully acclimatised after removal from its sealed growing environment.
Every order includes an NPG Tissue Culture Acclimation Pack. Please read both guides before purchasing or deflasking your plantlet:
• NPG Tissue Culture Acclimatisation Protocol
• NPG Tissue Culture Acclimation & Aftercare Guide
Tissue-culture plantlets are young, living plants, and some loss is always possible during acclimation. Please ensure you have an appropriate growing environment and are comfortable with the process before purchasing.
✨ Care Once Acclimatised
Provide bright, indirect light, moderate to high humidity and warm, stable temperatures of approximately 18–28°C. Keep the substrate lightly and evenly moist without allowing it to remain saturated.
Once fully acclimatised, we recommend growing your Monstera in our NPG Aroid Formula. Provide sturdy vertical support to encourage larger foliage and increasingly mature fenestration.
🌱 NPG Tip
Highly pale foliage can be more sensitive than greener growth. Avoid suddenly increasing light intensity in an attempt to enhance the variegation, as the lightest sections can scorch easily.
Give each new leaf time to emerge and harden fully before judging its final colour. Stable warmth, bright indirect light and consistent care will encourage strong, balanced growth.
