🌿 Alocasia Simpo Albo Variegated – Sculptural Form with Crisp White Contrast
Bold, elegant, and highly architectural — Alocasia Simpo Albo Variegated is prized for its elongated foliage, pronounced veining, and striking white variegation. The rich green leaves are layered with crisp splashes, marbling, and occasional sectoral blocks of white, creating strong contrast while maintaining the plant’s refined structure.
Its upright growth habit and sharply defined foliage give Simpo a commanding presence, while the albo variegation adds brightness and individuality to every leaf. As the plant matures, leaf size and pattern intensity increase, creating a dramatic yet balanced display.
✨ Quick Care Tips:
💧 Water: Grown in pon in a self-watering pot, this plant prefers a consistent but controlled moisture supply. Keep a small amount of water in the reservoir and avoid overfilling the reservoir so the bottom isn’t sitting in water.
☀️ Light: Bright, indirect light helps maintain clean white variegation and strong structural growth. Avoid harsh direct sun.
🌫 Humidity: Prefers 60%+ for optimal leaf quality and stability.
🌡 Temps: Thrives between 18–26 °C. Sensitive to cold drafts and sudden temperature changes.
🪴 Soil: Supplied in a self-watering pot using pon for consistent moisture and strong root development. Pon provides stable hydration while maintaining airflow around the roots. Alternatively, performs exceptionally well in our NPG Alocasia Formula, designed to provide the ideal balance of airflow, moisture retention, and structure for healthy root growth. A free-draining, airy aroid mix with bark and perlite can also be used.
🌱 NPG Tip:
Consistency is everything with variegated Alocasia. Stable warmth, humidity, and controlled moisture will help maintain crisp variegation and encourage larger, more defined foliage over time.
