🌸 Alocasia Balloon Heart Pink Variegated – Bold Form with Soft Pink Drama

Some plants stop you mid-scroll, and Alocasia Balloon Heart Pink Variegated is one of them. With its oversized, inflated heart-shaped leaves and unpredictable pink variegation, this cultivar delivers serious presence without needing loud colours or gimmicks.

Each leaf unfurls thick and glossy, showcasing deep veining and the distinctive rounded, balloon-like texture behind its name. Pink variegation can range from soft blush washes to bold marbling, splashes and larger contrasting sections layered across deep green foliage.

As the plant establishes and matures, its broad, sculptural leaves become increasingly impressive, with every new leaf revealing its own combination of shape, colour and pattern.

✨ Tissue Culture Information

This plant is supplied as a young tissue-culture plantlet and must be carefully acclimatised after removal from its sealed growing environment.

Every order includes an NPG Tissue Culture Acclimation Pack. Please read both guides before purchasing or deflasking your plantlet:

• NPG Tissue Culture Acclimatisation Protocol
• NPG Tissue Culture Acclimation & Aftercare Guide

Tissue-culture plantlets are young, living plants, and some loss is always possible during acclimation. Please ensure you have an appropriate growing environment and are comfortable with the process before purchasing.

✨ Care Once Acclimatised

Provide bright, indirect light, moderate to high humidity and warm, stable temperatures of approximately 20–28°C.

Once fully acclimatised, we recommend growing your Alocasia in our NPG Alocasia Formula or pon using a self-watering setup. Both options provide consistent access to moisture while maintaining the airflow around the roots needed for healthy, stable growth.

🌱 NPG Tip

Pink variegation can change in appearance as each new leaf emerges and hardens, so avoid judging its final colour too early.

Stable warmth, bright indirect light and consistent moisture will encourage healthy growth while helping protect the more delicate pink sections.
