šæ Alocasia Bisma āPlatinumā ā Metallic Silver with Futuristic Form
Rare, refined, and strikingly metallic ā Alocasia Bisma āPlatinumā is prized for its luminous silver-toned foliage and elegant, sculptural structure. The elongated leaves carry a cool platinum sheen across the surface, layered with soft veining that gives the plant an almost unreal, futuristic appearance.
Unlike darker Alocasia forms, Bisma āPlatinumā feels bright and airy while still maintaining strong architectural presence. Its upright growth habit and flowing leaf shape create a clean, premium aesthetic that stands out beautifully in any collector setup.
As the plant matures, the metallic sheen intensifies and the foliage becomes larger and more dramatic, enhancing its signature platinum effect.
⨠Quick Care Tips:
š§ Water: Grown in pon in a self-watering pot, this plant prefers a consistent but controlled moisture supply. Keep a small amount of water in the reservoir and avoid overfilling the reservoir so the bottom isnāt sitting in water.
āļø Light: Bright, indirect light enhances platinum tones and supports strong, balanced growth. Avoid harsh direct sun.
š« Humidity: Prefers 60%+ humidity for optimal leaf quality and stability.
š” Temps: Thrives between 18ā26 °C. Sensitive to cold drafts and sudden temperature changes.
šŖ“ Soil: Supplied in a self-watering pot using pon for consistent moisture and strong root development. Pon provides stable hydration while maintaining airflow around the roots. Alternatively, performs exceptionally well in our NPG Alocasia Formula, designed to provide the ideal balance of airflow, moisture retention, and structure for healthy root growth. A free-draining, airy aroid mix with bark and perlite can also be used.
š± NPG Tip:
Stable warmth and consistent moisture are key to keeping that platinum sheen looking its best. Avoid sudden environmental changes ā Bisma āPlatinumā rewards consistency with cleaner colour and stronger foliage over time.
